Peters Development, LLC announces another Premiere High Point, NC Acquisition
Peters Development, LLC is pleased to announce that it has acquired another high-profile High Point, North Carolina property. On March 31, 2021, Peters Development completed its acquisition of the retail shopping center located at 2100 N. Main Street, High Point, NC.
“Our company seized on the opportunity to own one of the premier locations in the Triad. Given its excellent location and diverse tenant mix, this center was a very attractive investment to add to our growing portfolio.” says Dr. Lenny Peters, CEO of Peters Development. According to Elise Peters Carey, President of the company, “This property is located at the signalized corner of N. Main Street and Eastchester Drive, essentially at the retail epicenter of High Point. Had this property hit the open market, we feel competition from other buyers would have been quite strong, so we were excited to strike this deal before that could happen.”
“This asset is 100% occupied with a diverse mix of tenants and is anchored by Beauty World and Rome Pizza,” said Dan Hill, Director of Real Estate for Peters Development. “This center offers multiple access points, very high visibility and outstanding signage at one of the Triad’s busiest intersections,” according to Dan Hill. “The shopping center was recently completely renovated, with substantial improvements being made to the tenant spaces, structure, façade, parking lot and signage. The recent redevelopment, along with the center’s positioning along N. Main Street and Eastchester Drive make this a property that we are proud to own for the long-term,” according to Elise Peters Carey.
This purchase is the fourth large shopping center that Peters Development has purchased within the last six months in High Point alone. Peters Development recently purchased the nearby Eastchester Shopping Center, which will become known as Peters Plaza IV. The center, located at 274 Eastchester Drive, is a fully-occupied 64,000 sq ft retail center anchored by Office Depot and Dollar Tree. The shopping center was purchased for $9,450,000 and closed on January 29, 2021. In December of 2020, Peters Development made further investment in High Point with its purchases of a 74,000 sf shopping center located at the intersection of Fairfield Ave and S. Main Street as well as the former Kerr Drug located at that same signalized intersection. The former pharmacy building at 2805 S. Main St is being redeveloped by Peter Development and will become a 9,000 sf Bethany Medical location offering primary care, urgent care and specialty care. In July of 2020, the company also purchased the shopping center located at 801-819 N. Main Street and is redeveloping the center and adding a Bethany Medical location there as well. “We continue to make significant investment in our local High Point market because we believe in the continued growth of our City. As I have stated before, High Point will always be my home and I cannot think of a better place to invest than right here in my own back yard” said Dr. Lenny Peters.
Along with these recent High Point acquisitions, Peters Development also remains focused on downtown High Point development. Peters Development has announced multiple downtown projects and acquisitions in the past few months, with projects underway for new retail, residential and office space. Peters Development is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Peters Holdings, LLC which was founded by Dr. Lenny Peters and is operated by Dr. Peters, CEO and also Elise Peters Carey, who serves as President of both entities. Peters Holdings is the parent company of multiple subsidiaries operating within the healthcare, lab services, financial services and commercial real estate industries. Daily operations of Peters Development are headed by Dan Hill, Vice President and Director of Real Estate.
