Twenty-five years of commercial real estate experience. Sixteen years of state-government real estate. Specializing in investment sales, analysis, property management, administration and transaction management. Broker-in-charge.
Richard holds the coveted and internationally recognized CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member). He has held real estate licenses in SC & GA; and, currently holds an active real estate Brokers License in NC. Richard is also authorized by the NC Real Estate Commission to serve as Broker-in-Charge and to administrate real estate trust accounts.
Following his military service with the Marine Corps, Richard moved North Carolina to obtain his education – After which he owned/operated/managed a small business before transitioning into commercial real estate. Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance & Development.
For sixteen years Richard served as the first Real Estate Officer for UNC-Charlotte; and, served on the UNC System Office Task Force which was instrumental in advising on real estate protocols, policies and procedures which lead to legislative changes that allowed select UNC campuses Delegated Leasing Authority. Richard led the process and successfully obtained Delegated Leasing Authority for UNC-Charlotte as one of only five campuses (at the time) within the 17-campus system to obtain the Authority; and, later was invited to serve on the UNC System Assessment Team to evaluate other campuses seeking Delegated Leasing Authority.
Richard retired early from the State in order to continue his real estate career with Peters Development.
